The new Unknown Mortal Orchestra album, “II” came out today and to coincide with its release, the band has shared a new video for the song “So Good At Being In Trouble.”

Would Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s music been possible in the ’60s or ’70s? Despite the very obvious nostalgia for vintage rock in the New Zealand/Portland, Ore., band, there are tinges of modern influences and even forward-thinking in Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s. The retro, psych rock trio returns with its sophomore album on Feb. 5, but you can stream Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s “II” early via NPR.

With a sound that would be at home in Quentin Tarantino’s “Jackie Brown,” Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s new single “So Good At Being In Trouble” might be an indication of what’s to be found on the group’s forthcoming album, “II.”
