Live review: Korn @ the Fillmore Auditorium

Korn’s "Path of Totality" tour made its way to the Fillmore Auditorium on Monday night. This tour, in support of the band’s tenth studio album of the same name, brings the interesting collaboration between hard rock and heavy dubstep to life for an all-out head-banger and club-banger experience.

Live review: Bleached @ the Hi-Dive

L.A.’s Bleached is a band born of the Misfits, and that’s how it ended a too-short set last night at the Hi-Dive -- with a cover of “Horror Business.” After a set that carried a strong feel of NYC Bowery punk, the Runaways, and just a little Vivian Girls, the cover was a nice fit and capped off the night well.

Live review: Lykke Li @ the Ogden Theatre

Lykke Li, the 25 year old Swedish alt-pop star, amazed the Ogden Theatere on Friday night. Despite wide acclaim for her March 2011 release, “Wounded Rhymes,” as well as her 2008 debut “Youth Novels," one would have scarcely expected a tour-de-force performance like this; trippy atmospherics, a monster backing band and stunning, far-above-average production values for an Ogden-size venue.
