Photos by Joe McCabe. “I Cut Like a Buffalo” is hardly a stand-out track from the Dead Weather’s debut, “Horehound.” But the groove-jammed track was the highlight of the indie supergroup’s soulful set at the Ogden Theatre last week.

The Dead Weather, “Horehound” (Third Man Records) The White Stripes and Raconteurs singer-guitarist Jack White has a grasp of rock that borders on a stranglehold. On his latest project, the Dead Weather, he drops the ax and takes over the drum kit, with the Kills’ singer Alison Mosshart on vocals, and Raconteurs members Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence on guitar and bass.
