X weird and wonderful at Summit Music Hall

Friday night at the Summit Music Hall, seminal LA punk band X gave a new meaning to the term “all ages show.” The audience included little kids wearing noise cancelling headphones, adolescents with their parents, an assortment of Denver rockabilly, punk and goth kids, as well as an array of gray-hairs and no-hairs.

Taking Back Sunday stopped in Denver for the third time in less than a year on Wednesday night. The band has been touring relentlessly in support of its latest album, "Happiness Is." Having played the Ogden Theatre with the Used in April and Riot Fest Denver in September, Taking Back Sunday finally got its own headlining slot at the Summit Music Hall in Denver.

Sick Puppies, Lacuna Coil, Eyes Set to Kill and Cilver performed at the Summit Music Hall on Monday. Headlining was the rock trio Sick Puppies, which is currently supporting its latest album, "Connect." Australian frontman Shim Moore and bassist Emma Anzai connected with their fans as they ripped through new tracks "Die to Save You," "There's No Going Back" and "The Trick the Devil Did." Sick Puppies also played older favorites such as "Pitiful" and "Riptide." Read more »
