Photo essay: Starf*cker @ the Bluebird Theater

Portland, Ore. indie-electro band Starf*cker played the Bluebird Theater on Wednesday -- its third show in Denver in less than one year. The band, known best for its song "Rawnald Gregory Erickson the Second" (synched to a Target commercial, among other things) brought a unique mix of digital sounds and live instrumentation to the Bluebird stage.

Do you feel the music? Starfucker makes it easy. Photo: The first notes of Starfucker's set were pure cacophony. Their brief introduction resembled a space-age orchestra tuning up -- with three of the band's keyboards simultaneously sending up a shimmering ocean of glorious electronic sound.
