“Riots aren’t always a good thing.” Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne said that in a recent promotional video for the three-city-wide Riot Fest, which was polling its participants and performers on why, as they put it, “Riot Fest sucks.” It’s the kind of thing that an adolescent Warped Tour might do today, the self-deprecating middle-finger selfie of the next wave of punk and rebel rockers.

Riot Fest Denver moves to National Western Complex

Riot Fest has announced it will move to National Western Complex when it returns to Denver on Aug. 28-30. This marks the third location for the music festival in as many years, after the Sports Authority Field at Mile High parking lot provided a last minute location for Riot Fest when it was forced out of its original home.
