My Morning Jacket played the first show of its two-day stand at Red Rocks Ampitheatre on Friday night. The band's set included songs that spanned its entire catalogue, with early works such as "Heartbreakin' Man" and "War Begun" setting in motion a steady rise that peaked halfway through the set -- when Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell sang verse and harmony with Jim James on "Wonderful (The Way I Feel)." Vocals soared through the open amphitheater into the night, and when James told the audience that he could "feel the forces of the universe conspiring in our favor," the tipping point had been reached.
