String Cheese Incident and Hot Rize make Hot Cheese Rising at Red Rocks

Sunday night at Red Rocks, Hot Rize and String Cheese Incident, two Colorado-based bands, collaborated on something of a Centennial State music salute. Michael Kang of SCI dubbed their blend the "Hot Cheese Rising” set before all 10 players opened the second part of the concert with Willy Nelson’s “On the Road Again.” Bill Nershi announced that when SCI was getting started as a more acoustic band, Hot Rize was a big influence.
