DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith details the new, “more diverse” album “Is The Is Are”

On July 7, DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith had landed in L.A. just after finishing up mastering of the band’s sophomore album “Is The Is Are.” It’s a day that has been three years in the making since DIIV’s critically-acclaimed debut, “Oshin.” In the time between the albums the band has been in the spotlight for releasing one of 2012's strongest debuts, but also for Smith’s own drug arrest the following year, his relationship with Sky Ferreira and his band member’s controversial statements on social media.
