Beach House at the Boulder Theater, 10/7/12 (photos and review)

Beach House kicked off Sunday night’s sold out show at the Boulder Theater with “Wild,” probably the heaviest song from the band’s latest record, "Bloom." But the weight was lost on the members of the audience -- nearly all of whom seemed elated by the Baltimore band’s mere presence, then taken away by the dreamy 90 minutes that followed.

Live review: Langhorne Slim @ the Fox Theatre

Two days after a canceled show in Omaha, Langhorne Slim was prowling all corners of the Fox Theatre stage, seemingly healthy as a bone. His Wednesday night performance in Boulder brought out a strong crowd, bouncing and head-bobbing from the very first notes of "Rebel Side of Heaven." Slim and his three-piece band always exude energy and excitement, no matter the size of the venue or crowd.

Live review: Mayer Hawthorne @ the Fox Theatre

Before headliners Mayer Hawthorne and the County blew the roof off of the Fox Theatre, Denver’s own Air Dubai, opened up the soulful evening with their brand of Roots-esque alternative hip-hop, leaving the half-filled room primed for the synth-pop singer and Bronx native, Gordon Voidwell.

Live review: B.o.B. @ the Ogden Theatre

B.o.B. does not seem to be holding anything back. The hip-hop M.C., aka Bobby Ray, had so much sweat pouring off him by the end of his set on Sunday night at the Ogden Theatre, he looked like he’d gone ten rounds in the ring.
