Damon McMahon, frontman for Amen Dunes is a study in easy understatement. In front of a packed house at the Lost Lake Lounge last Monday night, McMahon led the trio that makes up the touring version of Amen Dunes through an hour of passionate, liquid freak folk, the likes of which Denver hasn’t seen since Angels of Light last visited.
