Once again the Arvada Center in the suburbs northwest of Denver has a strong list of acts scheduled to play at its outdoor amphitheater.

Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Colorado Symphony have announced they are teaming up for a show together at Red Rocks this summer.

After a successful, experimental show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last year that led to a live album, DeVotchKa and Colorado Symphony Orchestra, return as a pair to the mountain amphitheater this year.

Friday night in Boettcher Concert Hall, heavy metal hero C. F. Kip Winger and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra demonstrated that opposites can mix.

DeVotchKa and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra may have seemed like an unlikely musical match just a year ago, but their indie-meets-institution collaboration produced two solid concerts in 2012, one at Boettcher Concert Hall last February and another at Red Rocks in September.
