Oskar Blues to open new music venue in LoDo

Longmont-based brewery Oskar Blues is planning to open a new music venue/restaurant in LoDo next summer. Oskar Blues Fooderies, the restaurant-forward branch of the company, has signed a deal to take over the space at 1624 Market Street, the two-story, the 11,000 square-foot space above the still-operational Pat's Philly Cheesesteaks.

Is there a carrying capacity for energy drink sponsored music events? Monster Energy Drink is banking on "no." With the help of AEG Live, the caffeine-infused beverage company will introduce its inaugural High Elevation Rock Festival to Greenwood Village's Fiddler's Green Amphitheater on September 10.

Australian rocker Courtney Barnett has pulled out of her scheduled headlining performance at Denver's Project Pabst to play Saturday Night Live's season finale. Project Pabst announced the cancellation via its Facebook page: We are sad to say (Courtney Barnett) will not be available for Project Pabst Denver, but we definitely did not want to stand in the way of an opportunity like this.
