Local indie folk band Paper Bird have announced a new album. Their sixth album, the self-titled “Paper Bird,” will come out on Sep. 9 via Thirty Tigers. That’s the album art above.

Earlier this week, the band they shared the album’s lead single “I Don’t Mind” on American Songwriter.

The album was produced by David Kalmusky and Hall and Oates’ John Oates.

Oates described the band as “the coming together of two perfect trinities, with distinctly unique female lead singers whose harmonies blend together as one, united with an inventive, cohesive rhythm section trio.”

The album is available for pre-order via Pledge Music. The band has arranged a wide range of pre-order packages, including handwritten lyric sheet, access to their soundcheck, a disposable camera full of photos they’ve taken on the road and more.

Paper Bird will be touring throughout Colorado this summer before heading to Nashville’s Americana Music Festival on Sep. 24. They will also join indie rock band The Ballroom Thieves on tour in November.

Paper Bird has toured extensively with bands like the Lumineers, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Shakey Graves.

Currently the band is made up of Sarah Anderson, Genevieve Patterson, Carleigh Aikins, Mark Anderson, Caleb Summeril and Paul DeHaven. Patterson’s sister, Esmé, used to write and sing for the band as well before leaving to pursue a solo career.
