Denver’s option4 and Rose Quartz team up for “Love is Lonely”

When Denver promoter Brennen Bryarly isn’t packing venues on South Broadway, he works the other side of the aisle, making deep house beats as option4.

Now, Bryarly has collaborated with digital heart crushers Rose Quartz on a brand spanking new single, “Love is Lonely.” Behind option4’s slick production, Rose Quartz layers in searching lyrics about the side effects and symptoms of love. On the whole, the two parties meld to form a dance floor banger without sounding the least bit pretentious.

Rose Quartz frontman Ethan Converse laid the hushed vocals using an analog studio 5×8 foot reverb plate during one of the many Denver snowstorms. It evens out to a subgenre of electronic he’s dubbed “emo house.”

The song is being published by noted Parisian label Kitsuné, which speaks volumes for the level of heat option4 has been laying as of late. Past singles have been released by the likes of Fool’s Gold and Nervous.
