Jack White is hanging at Rockies’ batting practice at Coors FieldBy Matt Miller | August 19th, 2014 | 6 comments
Jack White‘s summer of baseball continues. The day before his sold out Red Rocks show, White stopped by Coors Field to take batting practice with the Colorado Rockies. He was even decked out in his own Rockies gear.
White shagged fly balls with a glove in left field during Rockies batting practice, according to The Denver Post’s Nick Groke.

At one point, Colorado catcher Michael McKenry hit a hard line drive right at White. The one-hopper bounced off White’s glove. E7. But he dutifully chased it down.
He also hit during batting practice. He swings left-handed.
Throughout his summer tour, White has been stopping at ballparks throughout the country. You likely haven’t forgotten the viral photo of White looking miserable at the Chicago Cubs game.
When one fan asked him for a photo and to re-enact the candid shot of him frowning at the Cubs game, White laughed and said: “I can’t make that face again. But I’ll smile for you,” according to Groke.
Of course, we spent weeks trying to convince White to come to a Rockies game while in town. So, we’re going to take a small amount of credit for his Coors Field appearance.
Longtime fans might remember when White played a secret show at a Denver service station just hours before his last Red Rocks show in 2012.
And here’s another photo of White in Rox gear.
