Did Taylor Swift just tease her new album on Instagram?By Stephanie March | August 4th, 2014 | No Comments »
It seems cryptic social media clues are the way to share news about 2014’s biggest releases. About an hour ago, Taylor Swift shared a mysterious Instagram video of herself pushing an 18th floor elevator button six times. The caption accompanying the video reads, “So, here’s your first clue…”
Although there’s not much detail in the quick hint, fans are quick to speculate what Swift’s perfectly manicured fingers are trying to tell them.
Some Instagram comment speculations include: the date for a possible new single/album release, the track number of her new album, 18 + 6 = 24 which is Swift’s age, new album title, a follow up to her song “Fifteen” from her album “Fearless”, and finally, our contribution, the number of exes she’s had in the last month.
With more than 10 million Instagram followers it’s only natural Swift would use social media to get her fans amped up for her new album release (speculated to be in October) and her upcoming performance on Aug. 24 at the 2014 Video Music Awards.
Whatever the meaning of her elevator button post, fans everywhere will certainly be glued to her Instagram page for another cryptic clue.
