After hinting at it in early May, Adele has now officially announced her new album will be called “25.” The news came from an unlikely place, the World Music Awards Twitter account, which also said Adele will be touring in 2015.
“#adele confirms 2015 Tour After The Release Of Her New Album ‘25’!” the World Music Awards tweet reads.
Adele’s last album, “21,” sold more than 26 million copies worldwide and included the songwriting chops of Denver’s Ryan Tedder, who helped out on the hit, “Rumour Has It.”
Near the end of May we spoke with Tedder, who is also working on Adele’s upcoming third album.
“We’ve collected a number of songs. I don’t know which ones will make the album. I think only she knows that,” Tedder told us about the new Adele album. “I know that some of them are great, and I’ll try to come in and bring the best that I can, because an artist as good as she is deserves the absolute best. I try to do what I do with anyone else, but with Adele the stakes happen to be a little bit higher.”
