Watch Phish on Jimmy Fallon, playing “Waiting All Night” and “Fuego”By Julio Enriquez | July 15th, 2014 | 5 comments
A rare moment for the all-night-jammers, Phish’s time was limited with a late night performance on Jimmy Fallon on Monday. In full tour mode in support of their first album in five years, “Fuego,” the band spent its short time on national television harmonizing like a barbershop quartet on steroids with performances of “Waiting All Night” and the album’s title track.
In the web exclusive, the jamband warriors played a sprawling near 10 minute extended riff of “Fuego” that was as close as it gets to experiencing a live Phish show without actually having to endure being at the actual show. Lead guitarist, Trey Anastasio, decimated the stage with his expert axe-manship and Page McConnell kept the motor running behind the keys.
Last month, the band made its first late night appearance on Letterman, with a full extended set.
Look for Phish to finish up their summer tour at Dick’s Sporting Goods over Labor Day.
