Murder By Death returns to the Stanley Hotel for three nightsBy Matt Miller | May 23rd, 2014 | No Comments »
It was a match made in heaven (erm..hell), so it only makes sense to do it again. After the success of last October’s three night-run at the Stanley Hotel, Murder By Death has announced it will return to the haunted hotel early next year.
“We decided this is something that we’ve got to do again,” said the band’s Adam Turla in a news release. “It was the most exciting, fulfilling, and simply fun event we’ve ever been privy to in the 15 years we’ve been in this band.”
The darkness-tinged indie-rock band will play the legendary stomping grounds of Stephen King and Jack Nicholson on Jan. 2-4.
Fans will get a commemorative poster and are encouraged to dress up. Murder By Death hopes to make the Stanley shows an annual event.
Tickets, which sold out last year in 24 hours, go on sale now and cost $50. Last year only 300 tickets were released for each night.
