Riot Fest 2014: Weezer, Slayer and NOFX to play full iconic albums

As if you weren’t already looking forward to see a group of nostalgic rock, metal and punk acts at Riot Fest 2014, things just got a little sweeter. Weezer, Slayer and NOFX will play the entirety of their iconic albums — “Blue Album,” “Reign In Blood” and “Punk In Drublic” respectively — at the Denver stop of the fest in September.

What’s also exciting is there’s still one band playing one album that Riot Fest needs to reveal. One of the spots on the poster that Riot Fest used to announce the news remains a mystery. Any guesses what band and what album it will be?

Riot Fest announced its Denver 2014 lineup on Tuesday, which also includes the Cure, the National, Wu-Tang Clan, the Flaming Lips and more. Returning for the second year to May Farms in Byers east of Denver, Riot Fest also brings Primus, TV On the Radio, Gogol Bordello and others on Sept. 19-21.

And just to get you ready, why don’t you listen to some “Blue Album.”
