Let the miseducation of Lauryn Hill continue. The ex-Fugees all-star began her return to the stage late last year after being released from a three month prison stint in September. She began with a few one-off shows and small appearances, and now she has announced an expanded summer tour, which includes three Colorado dates, according to axs.com.
Hill plays the Belly Up Aspen on July 2, July 12 at the Boulder Theater and the Ogden Theatre on July 13.
But remember the debacle the last time Hill came through Colorado? She left the crowd restless and even got boos from the Fillmore Auditorium for a confusing set of reworked material.
From our November 2011 review:
Lauryn Hill must really hate the music that catapulted her career.
Because from the moment this diva took the Fillmore Auditorium stage on Friday night, she clearly had no intention of performing anything the crowd would recognize.
Let’s hope she makes it up to Colorado fans this year. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 10 and cost $60-$125.
