Now that the band has reached the top of major U.S. festivals, Arctic Monkeys will get its first shot at headlining Red Rocks Amphitheatre this year. About a month after headlining Lollapalooza in Chicago, Arctic Monkeys will play Red Rocks in early September, AEG Live announced Monday.
Ahead of releasing its acclaimed new album, “AM,” the U.K. rock band played the smaller Ogden Theatre last year. Arctic Monkeys plays Red Rocks on Sept. 4, with an opening act that is yet to be announced. In 2012, the band played 1stBank Center with the Black Keys.
Tickets for Arctic Monkeys at Red Rocks go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 2 and cost $39.95-$46.50.
