SXSW 2014: Full Colorado Music Party lineup announced with Gungor, Rose Quartz

Colorado-Music-Party-A

Well, here it is. We bring you the full Colorado Music Party lineup that’s hitting SXSW 2014 next week. Rounding out the list of 30 acts for the two day bash in Austin are Gungor and Rose Quartz.

The two bands join Shakey Graves, You Me & Apollo, Wheelchair Sports Camp and many more at the Colorado Music Party on March 13-14 at The 512 (408 E. Sixth St.).

Hailing from Denver, Gungor is a breakout, Grammy-nominated husband-and-wife folk duo, which Reverb’s Josh Johnson called, “a lush, gorgeous sound with a quiet contemplation, a subtle melancholy, and a refreshing take on folk.” Along with You Me & Apollo and Wheelchair Sports Camp, Gungor is an official selection on the SXSW 2014 lineup. The duo released “I Am Mountian” in September of 2013.

Rose Quartz (formerly known as Flash/Lights) is a Denver electro-pop that mixes darkness with a subdued narcotic haze. The group’s debut EP “Hidden Behind Trees” earned praise from NME and has since opened for New Order and landed prestigious spots on SnowBall and CMJ.

The collaborative Colorado-focused, two day party is presented by Reverb, OpenAir and SpokesBUZZ and features two stages and 30 bands.
