SnowBall 2014 lineup: Festival shares first wave of acts

After a number of acts teased their involvement this afternoon, the first wave of artists on the SnowBall 2014 lineup have been revealed. Pretty Lights, Knife Party, Busta Rhymes, Twin Shadow, Yeasayer and more top the now-Denver-based festival.

With this first wave of acts announced, a number of the top billed artists appear to be sticking with SnowBall’s electronic and hip-hop leanings. While the top of the first announcement leans toward electronic and hip-hop, the middle focuses on a few indie acts, including STRFKR, Twin Shadow, Yeasayer and others.

Along with the national acts, this first announcement has a large showing of local talent in You Me & Apollo, the Knew and more.

According to a festival news release this is the first wave of artists being announced and more acts will be added to the lineup.

Last month the festival announced that it will take place at the new location of Sports Authority Field at Mile High on April 4-6.

In 2013 SnowBall Music Festival brought 36,000 fans during the three-night event with headliners Pretty Lights, STS9 and Kendrick Lamar.

Now in its fourth year, this is the second move for SnowBall Music Festival, having bounced from Avon to Winter Park following a number of arrests in 2012.
