We here at Reverb would like to be the first to welcome Justin Timberlake to the great city of Denver. For a second, we thought he wasn’t going to make. No, no—it’s okay. We’re used to it. All too often, our favorite artists skip our town in lieu of the old “southern swing” route, taking them through New Mexico and Arizona instead.
These are beautiful states, but you’d be hard pressed to find a more music-ravenous town than Denver in our neck of the West. Even if we’re not all Timberlake fans, his new albums made converts out of the once unwavering.
While we may be several hundred miles away from the next viable music venue, Timberlake knows Denver is worth it. The dude isn’t afraid to admit he enjoys the occasional doobie. He snowboards in Vail when he can. He shops at Whole Foods (“Timberlake + ‘anything'” gets results on Google, apparently). He even opened a restaurant in Lodo in 2010.
To welcome JT back, we put together a playlist of some of his best guest spots. While he’s known for his own great solo material, Justin Timberlake is one who’s adept at lending his talents to other artists. Whether its to “Saturday Night Live,” David Fincher films, Jay Z or Jimmy Fallon, Timberlake is an artist who can succeed in just about any situation. Some of these are classics (Ciara’s “Love Sex Magic”). Others, forgotten gems (Nelly’s “Work It”). But all of them will get you in the mood to see the man in concert tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Head back Thursday for Reverb’s photos and review of the concert.
