Watch the Fray on Jimmy Kimmel, performing tracks from “Helios”By Julio Enriquez | January 15th, 2014 | 1 Comment »
The Fray decided to take the name of the Greek sun god as the title of their forthcoming album, “Helios,” scheduled to be released on Feb. 25. Local fans had a chance to catch the guys up close and extremely personal at the very quaint Summit Music Hall last month for a sample of new tunes from the fourth release. Tuesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel performance saw two performances, one of which is the latest single, “Heartbeat.”
The new track could easily be mistaken for a Springsteen penned song with the imagery of being on the run on a rainy highway. Of course, it’s Springsteen as interpreted by the Fray, with their signature piano driven pop balladry as the main catalyst. The Colorado band wasted no time with knocking out their very “un-Fray” like lead single, “Love Don’t Die.” As a bonus treat, a third track off of “Helios” was released yesterday. Listen to the uptempo banger, “Hurricane,” below.
