Telluride Bluegrass Festival 2014: Bela Fleck with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra to headlineBy Matt Miller | December 10th, 2013 | No Comments »
After four day passes sold out within an hour of going on sale on Dec. 6 and Friday and Saturday single-day tickets disappeared the next day, Telluride Bluegrass Festival has shared one of its first headliners. Bela Fleck will return to Telluride Bluegrass Festival, but this time with a twist, performing with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra to close out June 19.
According to a CSO spokeswoman, the performance with the orchestra will include Fleck’s own arrangements of classical works, including Debussy’s Children’s Corner and Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.
The nearly 12 other headliners will be announced next week.
For Telluride Bluegrass 2013, tickets sold out within hours before announcing headliners Sam Bush, Jackson Browne, Mumford & Sons and more. Mumford & Sons was later replaced on the lineup by Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers when the band’s bassist underwent surgery.
Single day tickets are still available for Telluride Bluegrass Festival 2014.
