“I was actually inspired by American artists like Bob Dylan and Public Enemy,” she shot back. “By the time I put out my first song and came to America, I thought you guys were used to it already.” Point: M.I.A.
Afterwards, she took to the stage with a DJ and dance-happy hype girl to perform “Y.A.L.A.” and the poppy “Come Walk With Me,” trippy album cover colors intact.
