Listen to the new Prince song, “Da Bourgeoisie”

Prince has released the new track “Da Bourgeoisie,” a twangy, funk-fueled song where he howls about his dude leaving him for a chick. Released in his normal fashion of giving the song to a dedicated Twitter follower, Prince shares his reservations on dating within the bourgeoisie and takes an ironic jab at the peasant-level social standing.

Lyrics like “I guess a man’s only good for a rainy day” and “I forgot faith is a Christmas tree” make us remember why we continue to love Prince so incredibly much. But we also love him because he does things like host a pajama and pancake party, which he did a few weeks ago at his Minnesota home.

Prince released a few other tracks this year, including the “Breakfast Can Wait” single (featuring hilarious cover art of Dave Chappelle as Prince). Listen to his newest track below via Consequence of Sound.
