Listen to the new Prince song, “Da Bourgeoisie”

Prince has released the new track “Da Bourgeoisie,” a twangy, funk-fueled song where he howls about his dude leaving him for a chick. Released in his normal fashion of giving the song to a dedicated Twitter follower, Prince shares his reservations on dating within the bourgeoisie and takes an ironic jab at the peasant-level social standing.

Lyrics like “I guess a man’s only good for a rainy day” and “I forgot faith is a Christmas tree” make us remember why we continue to love Prince so incredibly much. But we also love him because he does things like host a pajama and pancake party, which he did a few weeks ago at his Minnesota home.

Prince released a few other tracks this year, including the “Breakfast Can Wait” single (featuring hilarious cover art of Dave Chappelle as Prince). Listen to his newest track below via Consequence of Sound.

“Da Bourgeoisie” is the track of the demo and Prince finds out that the girl he is with is getting it on with another girl. The song is a funk work out and we wonder what instruments if not all that Prince is playing. Hannah Welton confirmed she is playing drums on the track.
