Watch: Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold covers Pearl Jam on Jimmy Fallon - Reverb

Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold covers “Corduroy” for Jimmy Fallon’s Pearl Jam week

Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold preformed a hollow yet powerful version of Pearl Jam’s “Corduroy” on “Late Night Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday in honor of a week-long celebration of Pearl Jam. A beard-less Pecknold brought a strong Fleet Foxes-esque sound to the 1994 “Vitalogy” track for his first TV appearance in about two years. He was joined by Grizzly Bear/Department of Eagles guitarist/mastermind Daniel Rossen for a stripped down version of the song, ending with a hard-hitting instrumental jam-sesh.

Fallon is hosting a number of different artists to cover the legendary Pearl Jam in celebration of the legendary alt-rock band’s 10th studio album, “Lightening Bolt,” which dropped last week. Pearl Jam will perform in the flesh at the end of the week as a grand finale.
