Watch: Cults’ “High Road” video

Cults has released a noir, trip-pop video for the track “High Road,” off of the upcoming album “Static.” The video subtly boasts a psychedelic attitude of the ’60s and a dooming sense of regret. The new album is due out on Oct. 15 via Columbia Records.

“High Road” stays true to the Brooklyn pop duo’s aggressive but harmonious sound, while exploring a sharper melodic theme. The band has already released “I Can Hardly Make You Mine” from the upcoming album.

After appearing at the Underground Music Showcase in July, Cults stops in Denver again on Nov. 20 in support of “Static.”

Watch the video for “High Road” below, and take a little trip through someone’s fading LSD and broken-hearted subconscious.
