Watch Arcade Fire perform on “Saturday Night Live,” full 30-minute specialBy Julio Enriquez | September 29th, 2013 | No Comments »
Arcade Fire has done a superb job of keeping up the level of intrigue for its upcoming album “Reflektor” without giving away too much. With a mysterious graffiti campaign, an interactive video and now a takeover of “Saturday Night Live” and NBC, Arcade Fire’s promotion for “Reflektor” rivals the likes of Daft Punk and Kanye West.
Arcade Fire appeared in a skit titled, “New Game Show” and provided two performances on “Saturday Night Live” with rhythmic scorcher “Reflektor” (sans David Bowie) and a sonically charged “Afterlife.” If that wasn’t enough, Arcade Fire followed with an unprecedented 30-minute special after the “SNL” season premier.
Watch the performance below, with the debut of “Here Comes the Night Time,” “We Exist” and “Normal Person.” Besides some flat sound at studio 8H, the special also includes cameos from Bono, Rainn Wilson, Ben Stiller, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, James Franco and Aziz Ansari.
“Reflektor” is out on Oct. 29.
