UPDATE Nov. 13, 2013, 10:34 a.m.: The National has added a second show at the Belly Up in Aspen on Jan. 2. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon.
Fans who saw the National on Tuesday at the nearly 10,000-capacity grandeur of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, might have been longing for a more intimate venue to match the band’s music. Well, that opportunity will come in early 2014 when the National returns to Colorado to play the 450-capacity Belly Up Aspen, according to the venue’s website.
The intimate show at one of Rolling Stone’s best clubs in the country will cost you, with tickets at $165 in advance, $175 day of and $485 for reserved seats. Tickets go on sale on Sept. 20. The show opener is to be announced.
