Labor Day playlist: Listen to Vampire Weekend, Washed Out, Disclosure and more

Labor Day is the last hurrah for the summer, a time when we break out our barbecue sets one last time before the fall forces us to eat ribs indoors, usually at some dingy Chili’s. So a good Labor Day playlist should be easy-going, with no sudden movements—”nothing to get hung about,” as the Beatles would say.

With that in mind, we’ve crafted a playlist to keep you and your friends’ spirits at ease during the next—and maybe last—cook off of the year. Some old, some new, we recommend pairing these 25 cuts with corn, hotdogs and your finest bottle of red (barbecue sauce).
