It’s been four weeks since the musical blitzkrieg otherwise known as UMS weekend hit Denver, and for those of you having withdrawal, here’s this nugget of goodness: The Goldrush Music Festival is almost here.
In the same vein of UMS, Goldrush brings that DIY, local music festival sense of discovery. This year, Goldrush is moving from the Deer Pile to two venues in the up-and-coming Globeville neighborhood this year. For two days in September, the Sidewinder Tavern and Crash 45 will play host to more than 15 local, regional and national acts such as MV & EE, Noveller, Lee Dockery, Scammers, Accordian Crimes, Paw Paw and more. And the most exciting prospect might be entering the wonderful sonic world of the Mole People out of Cleveland.
The Goldrush Music Festival is Sept. 27 and 28. Check out the full line-up below or on the Goldrush website. Pro tip: click on each artist’s name to sample tracks.
Bonus: Two-day Goldrush passes are being offered for $12 (cash only) at the Sidewinder tonight, where New Orleans-based bands Caddywhompus and All People, along with Denver’s Inner Oceans, are playing. The show is all ages, $5 cover.
