Glastonbury 2013: Woman gives birth at music fest after Rolling Stones setBy Kelsey Fowler | July 2nd, 2013 | No Comments »
Over the weekend, Heidi Wessen went into labor two weeks early — after seeing the Rolling Stones’ headlining set Saturday night. Her daughter was born at 3 a.m. Sunday morning at the Glastonbury medical center on site.
As NME reports, a Glastonbury spokesperson confirmed the birth, saying, “We’d like to send our congratulations to the family. We look forward to welcoming them back in future years. We’ve had babies born here that are now grown-ups. They still come every year. That’s a beautiful thing.”
The Stones finished their set with “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” while shooting off fireworks.
Kelsey Fowler is currently studying nothing music-related at Ithaca College. Help keep her in the loop on Twitter.
