Judy Collins to be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame with Paramount showBy Matt Miller | June 25th, 2013 | 1 Comment »
On top of nearly 20 studio albums, a Grammy Award and a number of charted singles from the ’60s up to the ’90s, Colorado’s Judy Collins is also known for social activism through music and UNICEF.
Though the iconic folk singer-songwriter wasn’t born in Colorado, she did form her musical roots here and get her start with the Denver Businessmen’s Orchestra as a teenager.
For her contributions to the local and national folk movements, Collins will be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. To celebrate, Collins will perform on Nov. 8 at the Paramount Theatre, an event that will also include inductees, the Serendipity Singers, Bob Lin and Chris Daniels.
Tickets for the show are $38-$99 and go on sale on Friday.
