Sasquatch! Music Festival expands to two weekends with separate lineups

After 11 years, Sasquatch! Music Festival has gone from a humble one-day affair, to a four-day, multi-stage blowout at Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash. Now, the festival is expanding even more to include two weekends with two completely different lineups a month apart.

In 2014, Sasquatch! Music Festival returns on May 23-25 and again on July 4-6. This year, tickets sold out in 90 minutes for a lineup that included Mumford & Sons, Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, Sigur Ros and many of the big names on festival rosters this year.

Sasquatch isn’t the first music festival to move to a multi-weekend event. Coachella, the largest music festival in the country, expanded to two weekends in 2012. Coachella, though, takes place over two consecutive weekends with the same lineup.

Other acts on the 2013 Sasquatch lineup were Earl Sweatshirt, Death Grips, Grimes, Dirty Projectors, Danny Brown, Tame Impala, Youth Lagoon, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Japandroids, Built to Spill, Holy Ghost!, Matthew Dear, Toro Y Moi, Schoolboy Q & Ab-Soul, Azealia Banks, Solange, Twin Shadow, Divine Fits, Killer Mike, El-P, Sigur Ros, Bloc Party, Andrew Bird, John Talabot, Father John Misty, Tallest Man on Earth, Devendra Banhart, P.O.S., Azari & III, Disclosure, Baauer, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Menomena, Surfer Blood, DIIV, Torche, Fang Island, Baths, Hundred Waters, Akron/Family, Suuns, Alt-J, along with comedy acts include Nick Offerman, Mike Birbiglia, and Kyle Kinane.
