4/20 Playlist: Bob Marley, Cypress Hill, the Strokes and more

By Erik Myers

For Colorado’s stoners, burnouts and the like, this year’s 4/20 is taking special significance as it’s the first one in which they will be able to legally possess all of their favorite flavors of marijuana. Everyone else, on the other hand, might be enjoying themselves less.

But even if you don’t plan to partake, you still might take a shine to Reverb’s 4/20 playlist. We’ve got it all. There’s tracks for your wake-and-bake (“Big Yellow Ball”) and the resultant hunger pangs (“Stoned and Starving.”) Even if you’re excited to try a friend’s strange new strain (“Brain Burner,”) let our list be a reminder that things can get messy (“The F**ked Jam”) without plenty of hydration and a trustworthy friend. Seriously, you don’t know where you’ll end up on too much of a good thing (“Shadowboxin’.”) It’s your own fault if you end up comatose (“Maggot Brain”) or, worse, tuning in to The Alex Jones Show on a daily basis (“Tower Seven.”)
