New Order, one of the many acts floating around the SoCal area this week thanks to Coachella, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday. The Manchester band is touring behind “Lost Sirens,” the B-sides album released earlier this year.
On Tuesday, the legendary act performed a punch take on “I’ll Stay with You” and a nostalgic fever pitch with “Bizarre Love Triangle.” New Order played in Colorado late last year for the first time in two decades, and Reverb spoke with frontman Bernard Sumner in advance of the show.
By the way, what’s the protocol with wearing your own band’s t-shirt while performing on stage? Faux pas? Sumner felt alright with wearing his New Order t-shirt on Kimmel on Tuesday. While we’re on the t-shirt subject, is it ok to wear the band’s t-shirt that you’re going to see the same night of the show? Amateur move? Seriously, people, let’s get to the bottom of this situation. You can catch New Order at the second week of Coachella on April 20.
