Metallica pinball machine coming soonBy Kelsey Fowler | April 10th, 2013 | No Comments »
Metallica has revealed the creation of its very own pinball machine. According to Metal Hammer, the game, designed by Stern Pinball Inc. (“the leading makers of pinball in the world”), will play a number of the metal rockers’ classics, such as “For Whom The Bell Tolls,” “Master Of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman” and more. More than 30 years of music has been dwindled down to arcade amusement. And by the looks of it, the design looks pretty rockin’.
Singer and guitarist James Hetfield shows a sneak preview of the machine in the video below. The Metallica pinball machine will potentially make an appearance at the band’s second-annual music festival this summer — Orion Music + More — June 8 and 9 in Detroit.
NME reports Metallica is currently working on a new album as well, a follow-up to their last album, 2008’s “Death Magnetic.” We’ll have to see if Metallica follows in the footsteps of Kiss and decides to start releasing other strange merch.
