The charges stem from a March 16 incident at the Harlem Nights Club in Atlanta. Gucci Mane — real name Radric Davis — is alleged to have hit a marine over the head with a champagne bottle. The incident allegedly occurred while the marine was speaking with a security guard about taking a picture with the rapper, the Constitution reported.
Gucci, who turned himself in on March 26, was denied bond at his first court hearing on March 27, according to the Constitution.
Gucci’s rap-sheet includes a 2005 murder charge, a six month stint in prison for parole violation in 2008, a 2010 arrest for numerous traffic violations — including driving on the wrong side of the road — and a six-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to two counts of battery.
