Watch Phoenix on SNL, performing two tracks off “Bankrupt!”

Why and how do the French make looking cool so damn effortless? Phoenix performed two tracks off the new album “Bankrupt!” last night on Saturday Night Live. Watch the performances below, and please prepare yourself for how seamless frontman Thomas Mars’ swagger is.

The single, “Entertainment,” has caught on like wildfire on top 40 radio across ‘merica, and we were given another taste of the new album on Saturday with, “Trying To Be Cool/Drakkar Noir (outro).” The take is a slower number, and will probably found on the latter part of the new album. Phoenix looks to take over Coachella twice in the month of April, sharing the night with the likes of the xx, New Order and a plethora of other bands. AS IF Coachella wasn’t enough, Phoenix will also be one of the headliners in Chicago’s Lollapalooza. In case you missed the lineup, Reverb has you covered here. All we have to do is patiently count the days till April 22 to get our hands on “Bankrupt!”
