Denver’s A. Tom Collins announces new album, European tourBy Matt Miller | March 27th, 2013 | No Comments »
A few months after signing to the Denver-based label Greater Than Collective, A. Tom Collins has announced their debut album “Stick & Poke” comes out in April. This release comes with a couple nights of parties at the Hi-Dive on April 19 and 20.
Sounding like some sort of vintage New Orleans gypsy troupe, A. Tom Collins is led by the boisterous croak of Aaron Collins. Complete with a horn section that’s always on the verge of goofing off, the group has a bit of a binge drinking, party atmosphere in a live setting. Come April, it will be interesting to see how well these guys behave on a full length album.
That’s not all that’s coming up for A. Tom Collins, though. The band has announced its first European tour in May, opening for Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, who always does well over seas. Tour dates include, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the U.K.
