Electronic dance music producers Beats Antique and Savoy are performing at this year’s Global Dance Festival, along with 13 others who were named earlier today in a Facebook announcement. This is the first of several expected announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
This year’s event, hosted at Red Rocks Amphitheatre from July 19-21, will be the 11th anniversary for the strictly electronic festival, which has ballooned in size since its first event in Colorado in 2002. Last year saw the festival’s expansion into a three-day event, truly establishing it as one the biggest music gatherings in Colorado if not the biggest. Festival organizers even self-produced a behind-the-scenes documentary .
Among those announced are local legends EOTO, who will perform Friday before returning to their endless touring cycle across the country. Scheduled for Sunday will be GRiZ and Gramatik, two fresh young producers who seem to always wind up on the same billing, as seen earlier this month when they joined forces as Grizmatik at the SnowBall Music Festival in Winter Park, Colorado. Sunday will also see the much hyped MiM0SA, who might be about as experimental as EDM gets.
Below is the list of the partial Global Dance Festival 2013 lineup announment made earlier today:
Friday, July 19th: Beats Antique, Eoto, Emancipator, Ott, Zoogma
Saturday, July 20th: Savoy, Sander Van Doorn, Arty, Emma Hewitt, Ecotek
Sunday, July 21st: MiMoSA, Gramatik, GRiZ, Seven Lions, Kill Paris
