With Esmé Patterson’s first video from her solo album, “All Princes, I,” the Paper Bird singer was filmed flying over the Rocky Mountains in a hot air balloon. In her second video for “The Swimmer,” Patterson went for a nearly opposite approach, geographically, that is. Patterson is filmed underwater, wandering around the Seattle Aquarium. The video, although filmed by a different director, is reminiscent of the last, with slow, dreamy shots of nature — in this case fish.
The filming style of the video goes well with Patterson’s soft, folk-country voice. Watch the soothing video for “The Swimmer” below.
The Denver singer is also performing at SXSW next week at the Illegal Pete’s Starving Artist Showcase on March 14.
