Is four shows too much? Is that overdoing it? Not if you’re Widespread Panic and hold the record for most sold out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band has sold out the venue 38 times, and in 2011 three nights sold out in 7 minutes. So, four nights is just meeting the demand. It’s simple economics, folks.
It makes sense that the 2013 Widespread Panic tour includes four Red Rocks shows from June 27-30, because people will be there. Last year the band played three sold out shows at the Fillmore Auditorium for three nights of dual sets.
Tickets go on sale March 9 at 10 a.m.
