A band’s success is always bittersweet for their fans. On one level, you’re happy for them, because the people you love are succeeding. (You want them to be happy, don’t you?) But on another, their tour dates start to thin out, the venues get bigger and tickets become expensive.
North Carolina’s the Avett Brothers hit that point about two years ago. But for those in Avett-withdraw, we have a cure: Come June 29, you can spend a whole afternoon and evening with the Avett Brothers at Avett Fest, the band’s very own music festival.
The festival will take place in Somerset, Wis., for some reason and feature fellow-folk/rock acts Dr. Dog, The Wheeler Bros. and Brandie Carlile. Tickets start at $47 and go on sale March 8 via TicketFly.
