Is the new David Bowie video his version of Clint Eastwood’s get-off-my-lawn-film “Gran Torino”? Well, it’s probably just about as close as those two things could possibly get to being mentioned in the same sentence. The new David Bowie video for “The Stars (Are Out Tonight)” has been released and it features a bunch of young people harassing poor old man Bowie and his wife Tilda Swinton.

Bowie announced an upcoming new album in early January with the release of the song/video “Where Are We Now?.” The new David Bowie album will be available on March 12 and was produced by longtime Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti. The announcement of this album came as a shock to many who believed Bowie had retired. His last album, “Reality,” was released in 2003 and he hadn’t toured since supporting that record. It’s been about seven years since he has toured and as of now has no plans to tour this year.
